Background

Rechelle Hawkes is a facilitator, speaker, and executive coach. She is one of only two Australian women to win Olympic Gold medals at three separate Games. Captain of the Australian female hockey team for eight years, she competed in four Olympic Games, making her one of the most decorated female hockey players in Australia. During her Captaincy tenure of 1993-2000 the Hockeyroos lost only one international tournament. For her contributions Rechelle has received an Order of Australia Medal. Since retiring from the elite sporting field, Rechelle has worked with a broad customer base in areas such as leadership, team development, and culture transformation. She has also worked in banking and in leadership for professional sporting organisations. As a speaker, Rechelle has been described as dedicated, warm, down to earth, and entertaining in her approach. She is open about the challenges she has faced in her own life, hoping to inspire others to continued success despite facing setbacks. 

Delivery Experience 

Rechelle brings a wealth of practical experience as well as contemporary thinking and creative ideas into the learning and development area, designing and facilitating a large range of training solutions. She consults with organisations to assist in developing leaders and creating high performing teams. She also enjoys providing one-on-one mentoring.  During her time with the Hockeyroos, Rechelle developed the skills and understanding to work with teams to develop a collaborative-facilitated style of leadership, an intense understanding of emotional and social influences, and the benefits of developing high impact teams and improved culture.  Rechelle has worked across many industry sectors and is continuing to grow her broad skill base to assist executives and function teams to collaborate and work as real teams, not just as a workgroup. Rechelle’s style is open, warm, collaborative and challenging.
